May<\/strong> 27, 2019. <\/strong>Moscow, Russia. \u2013 <\/strong>\u201cDetsky Mir\u201d Group of Companies (hereinafter referred to as \u201cDetsky Mir\u201d or \u201cCompany\u201d, MOEX: DSKY), \u2013 Russia\u2019s largest retail operator of children\u2019s toys, part of the AFK Group \u201cSistema\u201d (LSE: SSA, MOEX: AFKS) \u2013 announces the beginning of long-term cooperation with the FSAI \u201cNational Medical Research Center of Children\u2019s Health\u201d of the Ministry of Health of Russia.<\/p>\n

The Charity Foundation of \u00abDetsky Mir\u00bb within the framework of the project \u201cOpora\u201d will provide charitable assistance in paying for medical products, which are necessary for carrying out surgical treatment for patience of the FSAI \u201cNMRC of Children\u2019s Health\u201d of the Ministry of Health of Russia. Pacemakers, implants and other special constructions that are not fully covered by budget funds will be purchased. <\/p>\n

Today, many patients need serious operations, for which the professionalism of specialists is not enough. In order for children with severe diseases of the heart or musculoskeletal system to recover and return to the joy of normal children\u2019s life, we need special medical devices: metal structures for the spine, \u201cgrowing\u201d pins, implants and cardiac pacemakers. The cost of these types of supplies of foreign production often exceeds the capacity of state funding. It is quite difficult for an ordinary Russian family, and especially for a family where a seriously ill child grows, to independently pay for the necessary supplies.<\/p>\n

To date, within the framework of cooperation, two complex tibial osteosynthesis operations have been carried out. Costly pins, worth more than 300 thousand rubles each, have been installed to small patients of the Center. In the near future, several more operations are planned for 7 children in need for treatment.<\/p>\n

 \u00abThe main goal of our cooperation within FSAI \u201cNMRC of Children\u2019s Health\u201d of the Ministry of Health of Russia is to help children with serious health problems. Together with the Center \u201cDetsky Mir\u201d Charity Foundation makes high-tech medical services and materials available, thanks to which children can return to normal life. We are very happy that we are becoming one team with highly skilled surgeons and specialists of the Center, joining together in preserving the health of children in our country.\u00bb – said the Chairman of the expert Council of the \u201cDetsky Mir\u201d Charity Foundation, the Medical Director and the Head Doctor of the family clinics branch \u201cKlinika semeynaya\u201d Pavel Brand.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

For more than 255 years, FSAI \u201cNMRC of Children\u2019s Health\u201d of the Ministry of Health of Russia has been providing quality pediatric care to children from the first day of life up to 18 years. Every year, the Center treats thousands of children from all regions of Russia<\/p>\n
