The Charitable Foundation of Detsky Mir Group of Companies, the largest retailer of children\u2019s products in Russia, published the results of the charitable event.<\/p>\n
The winter stage of \u201cParticipate!\u201d Charitable Program completed in the stores of Detsky Mir Chain. More than 1 million people from 220 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the program from January 1 to March 15, 2018. The shoppers left their gifts and items for needy children in special sections near cashier stations in Detsky Mir stores. The company then forwarded the items to 650 orphanages and foundations.<\/p>\n
A total of 1.5 million items were collected, including clothes and footwear for children, as well as toys, sweet platters, designer sets, puzzles and more.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe charitable event takes place over the entire calendar year. When you make purchases in any Detsky Mir store, you provide support to at-risk children as well. During the winter stage of the event, the support was provided to some 250,000 orphans, disabled children and children from large families. Detsky Mir would like to thank all the participants in this very kind program,\u201d said Nadezhda Kiseleva, Head of the Directorate of External and Internal Communications of Detsky Mir Group of Companies.<\/p>\n
